Lisa Watts Natkin is currently part of the team working on the “Integrating Behavioral Health in Primary Care” project. This project is exploring whether integrating behavioral health providers into primary care practices improves patient outcomes. She is responsible for conducting qualitative research to explore the contextual factors supporting or impeding behavioral health integration. The methods she is using are document review, interviews, and observations. The reason she enjoys qualitative methods are:
“I find that qualitative questions are juicier. It’s easier to really get at the story. I love talking to people … trying to unpack people’s perceptions, motivations, and experiences.”
