Title of Study: Attitudes and Interpersonal Communication

Investigators: Nolan Rampy and Liz Pinel, Ph.D.

Compensation: Fulfills PSYC 001 research requirement.

Eligibility: Must be 18 years of age or older.

Description of Research: The purpose of this research study is to understand how differences in attitude can affect interpersonal communication.  You will be asked to come to the lab where you will complete a variety of personality assessments and evaluate various individuals. The study will take approximately 45 minutes.

How to Participate: Please email us at nrampy@uvm.edu with ALL    of the times from below when you are available to participate. We will then contact you with the date/time when you have been scheduled to come to the lab.

Lab Schedule:

Monday: N/A

Tuesday: 2:45-3:45pm

Wednesday: 1:30-2:30pm, 2:30-3:30pm

Thursday: 2:45-3:45pm

Friday: 1:30-2:30pm, 2:30-3:30pm

Title of Study:  A survey of student attitudes

Investigator:  Andrew Knapp, MA

Eligibility:  Psych 001 students

Compensation:  Fulfills Requirement

Length of session:  20-30 minutes

Location:  Dewey Hall, Room 211

Description of Research:  The study consists of a number of opinion questionnaires regarding social issues.

How to Participate:  Participants are invited to send an email to sbrl@uvm.edu to schedule a time to take part in the study.  In the subject line of your email, you should include “Student Attitude Study.”  

Further instructions will be emailed to the participant along with a time window in which the participant is expected to be at the survey site.  Participants will be required to report to the study location, log in to a designated computer in the testing room and complete the survey items without supervision.  Upon completion participants will be given a code phrase which they must email to the address provided in order to receive completion credit.
