I was hiking the ridge seen in the video, and walking along the ridge you realize how special this part of CA is. If I looked to my left, the were valleys of rich soil where the vineries were growing there grapes. If I looked to my right there was the vast blue Pacific Ocean. You don’t always get both the mountains and the ocean at your disposal. Also while I was surfing a pilot whale (I believe) surfaced twenty feet in front of me. I watched it make its way down the shore. Also that same day I encountered a baby bobcat as seen in my poorly taken picture below. Unfortunately the bobcat ate rat poison and was sick. However there is an interesting relationship between land and ocean here. Both the land and the ocean plays a crucial role in the lives of the people who live here.
