Wii U

Game consoles and media streaming devices are made to be compatible with consumer network configurations such as your standard home wireless router. These devices do not support WPA2 Enterprise, which is the network type UVM wireless uses. Therefore, they are unable to connect wirelessly on campus. However, game consoles and media devices are able to connect via an Ethernet cable to the data port located in your reshall room. All you need to do is submit a Network Registration Request Form at www.uvm.edu/techteam/playonline.

Below are instructions for finding your Wii U’s MAC address.

NOTE: You WILL need to have a USB to Ethernet adapter to connect your Wii U to our wired network.

1. On your Wii U GamePad, go to the Wii U Menu and select System Setting.

2. Choose the Internet option.

3. Select View MAC Address.

4. The MAC address will be listed under LAN Adapter MAC Address.  It may have letters and/or numbers and will be in the format 00-00-00-00-00-00.

Now that you’ve located your Wired MAC address, please include it in your Network Registration Request at www.uvm.edu/techteam/playonline
