Making an Email Signature in iOS

An email signature is often used to conveniently append your name, email address, and other useful information to the end of an email. The following are step-by-step instructions for how to set up a signature on an iOS device. Note: The signature created in these instructions will only appear on your iOS device. It will not show up in any email applications such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird.

  1. Open the “Settings” application
  2. Tap “Mail, Contacts, and Calendars”
  3. Scroll down and tap “Signature”
  4. On the “Signature” page, you can select to have a unique signature for each account using the “Per Account” option, or the same signature for every account using the “All Accounts” option.
  5. Fill in the corresponding text box at the bottom of the “Signatures” page.
  6. Now, when you create a new email message using the native iOS Email Application, it will automatically use the associated signature you just created.
