Duo Security: Enrolling your UVM Office phone

Enroll a Landline Phone

NOTE: Duo Security supports the use of Landline phones by generating an automated phone call where you will be asked to press a number to approve authentication. The automated call results in a small cost per use and is thus not recommended as a primary method for accessing Duo secured web services. That being said, enrolling your landline is a good idea as a backup method for accessing you account.

  1. Open a web browser on your computer and navigate to https://account.uvm.edu/multifactor. You may be asked to enter your UVM NetID and password.
    1. Click the “Activate/Manage Duo Security” button.

    2. Click the “Add Phone” button.

    3. Enter your phone number (with area code), a description of your phone, and select the appropriate platform. Then click the “Add Phone” button.

That’s it! You’ve successfully enrolled your Landline phone for use with Duo Security.
