Ground Work

Building Capacity to Provide Tractor and Farm Mechanization Education

Ground Work is a two-year professional development training project that is preparing educators and service providers to deliver mechanization and tractor education to beginning farmers, farm workers and apprentices in the Northeast.

Through a combination of online learning and hands-on workshops, Ground Work will equip agricultural service providers and farmer educators to teach adult learners about:

  • Basic tractor use and operation;
  • Basic tractor maintenance, and
  • Farm mechanization strategies.

This website is designed as a resource for project participants, containing links to webinar recordings, slide sets, and other resources and materials.

We are adding new materials and resources to the site monthly, so check back often!
