Assistance with IT Assistant

I got some useful technical support from Dell Enterprise OpenManage Sofftware support today, to address a problem where two Del 1850s would not appear in the IT Assistant inventory. I have checked and double-checked the SNMP and netowrk configurations, successfully ran the IT Assistant’s troubleshooting tools, and even ran a cople packet traces to make sure communication was happening.
The problem was some wonky registry settings in HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\SNMP\Parameters\ExtensionAgents’ . One Dell-specific value was missing and two others were misnamed. Keith at Dell sent me some notes and we fixed the registry, restarted SNMP, and then the systems were discovered just fine.
