VOLUNTEER: BOOMVT drum festival looking for volunteers, June 2nd, Burlington, VT

VSA Vermont presents BOOMVT, a drum festival to raise awareness about people with disabilities in the arts.

City Hall Park in Burlington, Vermont

BOOMVT features music performances by dynamic local drum ensembles including members from Burlington Taiko, Sambatucada, Jeh Kulu, Gahu at St. Michael’s College, and many others. Drummers with disabilities led by Bruce McKenzie and Bennicent Agbodzie will take center stage at the heart of the festival.
The stage for BOOMVT is generously donated by the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival.
All who attend are welcome to make or bring drumming instruments of their own design and join in, with or without preparation, during a final, unifying crescendo.

We are looking for volunteers to join the rhythm with us and help VSA Vermont use the magic of the arts to engage the capabilities and enhance the confidence of children and adults with disabilities.

Volunteers are needed on Sunday, June 2, for help with welcoming drummers and festival attendees, handing out information at our VSA Vermont table, setting up and cleaning up before and after the event, distributing merchandise for sale, and our social media campaign.
For more information contact Cora Lozinschi at cora@vsavt.org, or (802) 881-8391.
