INTERNSHIP: Summer Naturalist Internship with Stowe Land Trust, VT

Stowe Land Trust SUMMER NATURALIST INTERN GENERAL DESCRIPTION Gain valuable on‐the‐job, career driven work experience with Stowe Land Trust (SLT) as a summer naturalist in Stowe, Vermont.  This position assists in the operation of the conserved Mill Trail property and supports community outreach and management of SLT’s other conserved properties.  The position will focus on: • Acting as an ambassador for the Mill Trail property • Developing and leading interpretive programs and outings • Planning and leading volunteer trail workdays • Partnering with youth volunteer programs • Assisting with public outreach on the above The Summer Naturalist Intern will be supervised by the Assistant Director who manages stewardship and outreach activities for Stowe Land Trust, and will assist with the regular stewardship activities and outreach programs conducted by SLT in the summer season. TIME COMMITMENT Mid‐June through mid‐October.  The completion date for this position may be flexible. Position will not exceed 15‐20 hours per week.  Weekend and evening work is required.
