Biking programs and opportunities for teens

 

Summer is not over yet, and there’s still some opportunities to have fun while keeping our kids busy.  The Old Spokes Home continues its heritage of changing lives through bikes with its Mobile Repair Unit (MRU — schedule linked below).   Spectrum is getting into the bike game, as well, by offering a multicultural bike program with free activities and chances to win raffle prizes.   There are a few other ongoing programs aimed at keeping teenagers and young adults employed (Salvation Farms and Youth Advisory Council) and healthy ( MPC program).   Lastly, New Americans of all ages have lots of chances to learn English through free community based English classes throughout the Burlington area.
