Attending our Vermont Career Networking Night? Allow us to introduce you to some of our amazing Alumni Networkers who will be in attendance! We asked our alumni to answer a series of questions, and their responses are for you.

Josh Brown, attending the Vermont Career Networking Night.
Geography major and class of ’92.
Co-Founder and President of Capacitor Design Network.

Tell us about your job and how you got there.

Following graduation, I started as an intern at Shark Communications (advertising agency) which turned into a full-time job as an Account Manager. From there I then worked for the agency Jager DiPaola Kemp Design as an Account and Production Manager. I eventually started my agency Capacitor in 1997.

What advice do you have for students starting in their careers?

Be patient, have faith in yourself and manage your expectations. Never stop networking. Send hand written thank you notes, carefully proofread your résumé and cover letters.
