I got a call from home this morning – 12 inches in my coastal Mass. driveway… it’s 25 and sunny here!
Vermont has been pulling out all the stops for us this semester: so far we’ve seen four consecutive days of snow – two days of sub-zero temperatures – and now our second day of bright blue skies and what feels like a heatwave! Interestingly enough, the changes in weather have pretty much mirrored my feelings on this semester so far!
While I love snow, trudging through it for 3 days was fairly representative of my love for learning, but slight hesitance towards starting ANOTHER semester of it! I’m taking a lighter course load this semester, having learned from my RIDICULOUS Fall, where I wasn’t sure if I’d make it out alive! One of the great things about my schedule this Spring is that it’s all about time management – something I tend to do well with.
So, this semester I’m tackling Statistics… while math has never been my strong suit, statistics I can handle. It’s something about the real-world, real WORD thing that just clicks in my head.
I’m also beyond excited to be taking Creative Writing with one of my favorite professors, Angela Patten. During my first year at UVM, I took Written Expression with Professor Patten, and have since been eagerly awaiting our next in-class experience!
So, promises for this semester: less coffee (what a dangerous addiction), less stress, more productive, MORE OF THESE SUNNY DAYS! Oh, and a little bit of snow to put under my skis would be great.
