I have been fortunate enough, for the 4th semester in a row, to not have classes on Fridays! I managed to fit all of my 18 credits (a full course load) in to 4 days, and so-far it’s going well. Sure, there was a point of slight high-stress on Wednesday, as I realized that I had to prepare for 2 quizzes AND an exam: but it’s Friday, which means I survived yesterday!
First was CDAE 266 – Decision Making for Community Entrepreneurship (my minor). 5 questions about the time-value of money. It wasn’t terrible, I tend to like numbers (money numbers, not algebra or calculus numbers, I hate those numbers).
Then came the BIGGIE! CDAE 129 – Communication Law. We were allowed a double-sided reference sheet for this exam… I’ve uploaded mine, I’m quite proud of it.
Lastly, I had a 3-question quiz in PSS 10 – Home and Garden Horticulture. I like this class a lot! It’s like nothing I’ve ever taken: we study plants, and what they do, how they do it, and why we should care! I’m fulfilling one of my science requirements, and am so glad to have options other than Biology or Chemistry. I’m excited to take the skills I’m learning from this class and apply them to what will be the BEAUTIFUL landscape of my future home.
So, you wanna know my trick to surviving 2 quizzes and 1 exam:
1. Study Hard
2. Stay Relaxed
3. Wear yellow (as a color, it is stimulating for your brain and helps your memory)
AND LASTLY
4. Eat lots of DARK CHOCOLATE (this is my favorite tip, because it involves food).
My professor had a nice belly-laugh when I pulled out a zip-lock of Ghirardelli chocolate chips.
Tonight – a home-cooked steak dinner with steamed broccoli, roasted potatoes, and the company of my roommates! Enjoy your weekends everyone!
